Who We Are

We spent years in emergency rooms — treating heart attacks that could have been prevented, managing crises that started as whispers. We watched brilliant, busy people fall through the cracks of a system designed to react, not prevent.

We knew there was a better way. Not a wellness trend. Not a luxury play. A real medical practice built on precision — and the kind of physician relationship that people living exceptional lives deserve.

What We Believe

Health is something you protect  -  not something you chase. The best time to address a concern is before it becomes one.

Feeling “off” is information, not an inevitability. Energy loss, hormonal shifts, metabolic changes, brain fog  -  these are signals that deserve attention, not dismissal.

Precision is the foundation of real care. Every body is different. Every life has context. Care should be specific, informed, and personal  -  not generic or trend-driven.

Exceptional lives require exceptional care. People carrying responsibility  -  for families, teams, businesses, communities  -  deserve a medical partner who matches the demands of how they live.

And when people understand what’s happening in their bodies and what to do next, fear dissolves and agency returns. Confidence in your health changes everything.

Our Approach

Precision medicine starts with seeing the whole person

Precision medicine starts with seeing the whole person. We look at genetics, labs, lifestyle, history, and goals — then build a precise, individualized plan designed to catch issues early, address root causes, and protect long-term health.

Every assessment, plan, and follow-up is guided by a physician who knows you. We work alongside your primary care team — adding depth, continuity, and foresight that most healthcare systems aren't built to provide.

Virtual-first. Nationally available. Designed for people
with demanding lives who need care that works around
their schedule.

YOUR PHYSICIANS

Dr. Summer Dixon, DO

Co-Founder & Partner

Summer is a board-certified emergency medicine physician with over a decade of experience providing high-acuity care in major U.S. cities and abroad in New Zealand. She earned her medical degree from the Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine.

After years on the front lines — treating crises that could have been caught earlier, watching capable people fall through the cracks of a reactive system — she made a deliberate shift to proactive, preventive medicine. She's currently completing an Integrative Medicine Fellowship at the Andrew Weil Center, deepening her expertise in longevity, hormone optimization, and executive wellness.

Summer co-founded Pinnacle Health MD because she believed the best care is precise, preventive, and happens long before the emergency room.

Dr. Lauren Brandenburgh, MD

Co-Founder & Partner

Lauren is a board-certified emergency medicine physician who earned her medical degree from UT Health San Antonio and completed her residency at UT Southwestern — one of the country's top academic medical centers.

With a background in Nutritional Science and advanced integrative training through the Andrew Weil Center, she combines traditional and modern approaches to optimize health and longevity. She emphasizes evidence-based strategies supported by precision tools like genomics, gut health testing, and polygenic risk scoring.

Lauren co-founded Pinnacle because she kept seeing the same pattern: brilliant, exceptional people who deserved far more than fragmented, reactive care.

A Note on What We Do — and Don't Do

Pinnacle Health MD is a preventive medicine and longevity practice. We specialize in helping people who are generally healthy stay that way — and feel their best doing it.

We are not a replacement for your primary care physician. We add a layer of precision and proactive strategy that most systems aren't designed to provide.

For patients with complex or acute conditions, we may recommend transitioning to an appropriate specialist. We'll always be transparent about what falls within our scope — and what doesn't.
